About us..
'Drive to Arrive' was established in 2004 by Peter Stas who at that time
had recently retired from the Lancashire Constabulary, after 30 years of police
service.
During his time in the police he served in a number of different posts,
which were related to traffic / road policing and road safety. As a police
driving instructor he taught officers all levels of driving from learners to
advanced and specialist skills.
With this instructional experience, involvement
in road safety campaigns and accident prevention, he is able to tailor training
to suit individuals at all levels through 'Drive to Arrive'.
Peter
is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and an examiner with ROSPA Advanced Drivers Association. He is a Grade 6 (top grade) "Authorised
Driving Instructor" and is on the register of approved Fleet Driver Trainers
with the Driving Standards Agency.
He is also a trainer for SAFED for vans, a member of the Driving
Instructor's Association & of the Association
of Industrial Road Safety Officers and is
Chairman of the Kendal and District Drivers Association.
The continuing growth of the business has seen Peter’s daughter, Donna
Watson, join 'Drive to Arrive'. Donna has been trained by Peter to deliver
the same high level training to enable people to acquire the important life
skill of safe driving for life.
Learner lessons are arranged and delivered locally around the Grange-over-Sands
area, including the Cartmel penninsula and around the Kent estuary.
